Description The WWII German Luftwaffe Service Dress Breeches Set features the two principal styles of Luftwaffe trousers — the Stiefelhose and the Reithose — worn with the blue-grey service dress tunic (Tuchrock) by officers, NCOs, and enlisted men. Both types were tailored in the Luftwaffe’s characteristic blue-grey wool , combining comfort, durability, and a sharp military silhouette. The Stiefelhose (boot breeches) were designed for wear with tall jackboots (Marschstiefel). They are cut close to the leg below the knee with tapered lower legs, buttoned cuffs, and reinforced inner panels to prevent chafing inside the boot. The fit is trim and functional, giving a clean, formal appearance. The Reithose (riding breeches) were a slightly looser pattern with broad flared thighs and a narrow calf, providing extra comfort and flexibility for mounted officers or those who spent long hours seated in vehicles or aircraft. They featured side pockets, rear buttoned pocket, suspender buttons, and tight ankle closures. Both variants were made with high waistbands, button or hook fly, and belt loops or suspender buttons, lined in cotton or rayon. Officers’ examples often featured finer tailoring, silk linings, and subtle piping to match branch color (Waffenfarbe). Any of the two varients can be chosen on the product selection menu.
