Description The WWII German Luftwaffe Splinter Camouflage Smock, officially known as the Kampfbluse or Fallschirmjäger Jump Smock, was designed for German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger) and select Luftwaffe ground units. Introduced in 1941, it provided camouflage, wind protection, and freedom of movement during airborne and ground operations. This 100% accurate version from replicaters.com is constructed from heavy cotton twill printed in the distinctive Luftwaffe splinter B camouflage pattern—a mix of angular green, brown, and grey shapes on a light field—the smock featured a full-length zipper front, four large zippered pockets, and snap cuffs. The design allowed the paratrooper to carry essential gear securely during descent. Early models used a step-in design with crotch flap and leg ties, while later 1943–44 models were simplified for field use without these features. Both models are available for sale and can be chosen in the product selection menu. Only single side printed available just now. The smock was worn over the standard field tunic and trousers, often with web harness or bandolier equipment. Its unique cut and coloration made it one of the most recognizable garments of the Luftwaffe’s elite airborne units. Custom tailoring/alterations at no extra cost. Great but for reenactors, collectors, movies, theater/films/movies etc.
