This is an authentic WW2-era porcelain side plate of Nazi Germany used in a Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) - German Labor Front mess hall; it was manufactured by Bauscher - Weiden, indicated by its back stamp. Porcelain ware like this was standard issue in mess halls and canteens, used by workers and staff during the period. Markings: - Sharply depicts the mobile swastika within a “gear” (the symbol for the DAF). - there is no date stamp; the text type suggests production would have been no earlier than 1941. - Manufacturers mark, Bauscher - Weiden. - The text "Modell des amtes Schönheit der arbeit (Model of the Office for Beauty of Labour).
