Description This is a finely tailored reproduction of the British Army officer’s Home Service Dress Tunic, as worn during the late Victorian period, including the Anglo-Zulu War era (c.1879). Constructed in scarlet melton wool, it features dark blue (almost black) collar and cuffs, gold piping, and regulation frogging on the cuffs. The tunic is single-breasted with eight gilt regimental buttons down the front, edged with gold cord piping, and fitted with shoulder cords in gold lace. Designed for ceremonial and home service wear, not field use, this tunic exemplifies the prestige and tradition of the British officer’s dress uniform.
