This is an authentic Nazi Germany 2-piece Luftwaffe (Air Force) Enlisted Men (EM)/NCO parade belt buckle; the standard issue for personnel in the Luftwaffe. This is an early version, manufactured from lightweight aluminum. (later versions...those produced mid-war often used steel or zinc). This specific style is of "two-piece" construction where the center motif is a separate plate attached to the buckle body; these buckles were typically used for parade uniforms. Description: Obverse: Two piece, die struck, natural aluminum construction with a separate face plate attached by four small bent over prongs, visible to the reverse. The central face plate features an embossed, horizontally oval, laurel leaf wreath encompassing a highly domed, pebbled inner field with an embossed Luftwaffe eagle to the center. Reverse: Plain with a central circular depression and a raised, semi-circular, slotted buckle catch, prong bar and prongs...all intact. Unmarked & with all fastening features.
