** RARE ** - increasingly hard to find these youth, small size buckles! This is an authentic WW2 (Nazi Germany) SA (small) youth size belt buckle. This type of buckle is 2/3 the size of the Adult equivalent and fits on a small belt. This is an early (ca. late 1920s to early 1930s) pre-RZM era SA belt buckle. These small, early examples were "likely" made for the first Hitler Youth members as the Hitler Youth organization, formed in 1926, was a subordinate organization to the SA (Sturmabteilung), known as Storm Troopers or Brown Shirts. Description: Manufactured in brass w/the center medallion of nickel silver & constructed of two pieces soldered together separately at the reverse. Obverse: To the center, a raised National Eagle standing upon laurels encasing emblem, leading onto a second border with half laurel finishing. Reverse: Steel claw and pin; all functional pieces remain.
