Description The M1935 Horizon Blue Uniform was the last iteration of the traditional French bleu horizon service dress before the full adoption of the khaki and brown field uniforms of 1939–40. This set includes the M1935 tunic, trousers, puttees, belt, and cap, faithfully reproduced in fine horizon blue wool serge, the signature color of the French Army since World War I. The tunic features a five-button front, two pleated breast pockets, two lower bellows pockets, stand-and-fall collar with branch insignia tabs, and shoulder straps for rank. The trousers are straight-cut with button fly, side and rear pockets, and adjustment tabs. The puttees are wool or cotton twill in matching tone, while the belt is brown leather with brass buckle. The forage cap carries the same color scheme, often piped or faced in branch colors. This transitional uniform was issued to line infantry and support troops between 1935 and 1939, and continued in limited service through the early stages of WWII.
