Description The WWII French Army Motorized & Armored Troops Tunic, officially introduced under the M1935 pattern, was designed specifically for crews of mechanized, armored, and motor transport units. Made from fine dark blue-black wool serge, this tunic provided both smart appearance and practical comfort for confined vehicle operations. tunOuric features the concealed button front, two pleated chest pockets with straight flaps, two lower pockets, high stand-and-fall collar, and shoulder straps for rank insignia. The cut is shorter and more fitted than standard infantry tunics, allowing ease of movement in tanks and vehicles. It was worn with matching dark wool breeches, black leather boots, and a leather belt with cross strap. This uniform was typically used by chars légers (light tank) crews, automobile troops, and cavalry mechanized units, making it one of the most distinctive French service uniforms of the pre-1940 army.
