Description Our Pre-WW1 German and Austro-Hungarian Army Enlisted Tunic is essentially a transition uniform of Germany/Austria from the 19th century to early 20th century. Different branch-of-service piping is added at no extra cost, and a list of various colors are given below. The tunic is cut straight, with two (see gallery picture) or four patch pockets (see main product picture) depending on the model, the pockets have flaps and the upper two pockets are buttoned. Thjere is a vent in the rear of the tunic and double piping. Shoulder loops too, are piped, and included -shoulder straps edged with unit-colored piping. Different branch colors (Waffenfarben) were used along the collar, cuffs, and shoulder straps, allowing soldiers and officers to be easily identified by their arm of service. This tunic became the iconic base pattern later adapted into wartime field uniforms.
