Description We manufacture the M1915 Feldrock (Bluse) Tunic which was the standard issue for Imperial German enlisted men and NCOs from 1915 onward, designed for practicality and mass production. It is made from field-grey (feldgrau) wool (the wool is 100% natural fibers, 82% wool balance cotton/linin, less than 12 oz. weight, it is not dyed but a mélange of white and dark grey fibers to give Feldgrau-just like the the original, tight weave, warm and coarse) , it featured a simplified cut with a concealed front placket, plain green collar, and fewer decorative elements compared to pre-war tunics. Shoulder straps carried branch piping colors (Waffenfarben) to denote the arm of service. This was the most widely worn tunic by German soldiers during the latter half of WW1. Tunic can be ordered with or without the Waffenfarben – please indicate your choice in the product selection menu. Some important colors were as below: Infantry – white Artillery – red Cavalry (Dragoons, Cuirassiers) – light yellow Uhlans – light blue Jägers – green Engineers – black with red Medical – cornflower blue Train (logistics) – light blue
