Description The WWII German Luftwaffe Field Cap (Einheitsfliegermütze) was the standard side cap worn by all ranks of the Luftwaffe, replacing earlier specialty headgear in 1941 with a simplified, unified design. Our version, just like the originals are made from wool blend cloth, it is practical, easily folded, and suitable for both flight and field wear. The cap features the classic two-piece construction with forward-swept flaps, silver-grey Luftwaffe embroidered eagle andembroidered national cockade on the front, and light blue-grey cotton lining. NCO and officer versions often had silver piping along the crown seam, while enlisted caps remained plain. It was worn by aircrew, ground crew, and paratroopers alike, often paired with the Fliegerbluse or jump smock. Both options can be chosen in the product selection menu. This reproduction follows the standard Einheitsfliegermütze pattern of 1941–45 and captures the sharp Luftwaffe profile and accurate insignia placement typical of wartime issue. Great for breenactyors, collectots, museums, film/theater/movies. Chart for Piping – it is a no charge WWII German Army (Heer) cap piping colors followed the branch-of-service or Waffenfarbe system.
