Description The cutaway tunic, made of khaki-brown wool serge, is tailored shorter at the front to accommodate the regimental kilt. It features pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps, brass General Service buttons, reinforced elbows, and epaulettes. The rear skirt retains the traditional service-dress vented back.The kilt cover is constructed from heavy khaki cotton drill and buttoned at the waist, designed to protect the wool kilt from mud and wear in the trenches. This apron-style cover fastens behind the legs and was standard field issue for Highland battalions throughout the war.Together, they recreate the authentic field appearance of famed Highland units such as The Gordon Highlanders, The Black Watch, and The Seaforth Highlanders during the Great War.
