This is an authentic West German enamel advertising sign for the well-known ceramics and tiles manufacturer Villeroy & Boch. This sign specifically advertises their tile & flooring & were often produced for the French and Luxembourgish markets. This particular sign design is dated circa 1955 and 1959. Although a German company, their headquarters was near the border of France & Luxembourg & thus, the sign's language is (& often was) produced in French. Text & Translation: Carrelages Revêtements (Tiles and Flooring) Le Produit de Qualité" (Quality Products) Description: This sign is of solid, medium weight and is in fair condition. It shows significant "emaillefehlstellen" (loss of enamel) and rust in the areas of the enamel loss. The edges are rounded to form an approximate 1/2" sign depth. It has two metal loops, one at the top left and one at the bottom right for hanging to the wall. Please review photos carefully.
