WW2 (Nazi Germany) NSFK Prepatory School Mess Hall Soup Tureen - Authentic 1943

This is an authentic porcelain NSFK soup serving tureen of Nazi Germany. The NSFK, National Socialist Flyers Corps (German: Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps) was a paramilitary aviation organization intended as a "preparatory school" for the Luftwaffe. This porcelain piece would have been from a WW2 era NSFK mess hall. Description: Made of high quality porcelain; produced with durability & design to withstand regular use. In used but good condition but maintains mostly its original polish throughout & has standard age wear/use/scratches. One notable exception (please review photos carefully), it does have a large chip on one of the carrying handles but does not affect its functionality or ability to grasp the handle. Markings: The face is crisply marked with NSFK logo w/swastika. The underside is nicely marked with the maker's mark, "Hutschenreuther Hohenberg" & production year stamp, 1943. - The Hutschenreuther porcelain manufacturing company was founded in 1814 by Carol's Magnus Hutschenreuther, identified by the "CM" in the logo. - Hohenberg is the town/village where the factory was original operating from. The NSFK conducted military aviation training in gliders and private airplanes during its infant years. It progressed into a full-on 'preparatory school' that instructed in everything from aeronautical theory and wireless communications, to maintenance work and gliding, while keeping its instructors fit for the future air war.
