Description A meticulously reproduced Victorian British Officer’s White Tropical Dress Tunic, tailored from high-quality cream-drill cotton or light wool  (your choice), representing the elegant yet practical summer uniform worn by officers across the British Empire. The tunic features scarlet facings on the collar, cuffs, and rear skirts, a stand-up collar, shoulder straps, and gilt buttons down the front — typical of dress used in colonial postings such as India, Sudan, or South Africa. Designed for comfort in tropical climates, this tunic was often worn without a waist belt, paired with matching white drill trousers or red-piped breeches (again your choice) for mounted officers. Officers wore matching white drill trousers for ceremonial or social wear and white cotton breeches with scarlet piping for mounted or field occasions.
