The Delights of Poland

Precise details can be found in your car atlas…” – Text, bottom. This beautiful map offers the ‘Delights of Poland’ to its English-speaking audience. Dozens of vignettes that highlight Polish architecture, industry, and culture are scattered throughout the image. The adjacent regions are filled with elements of historic cartography (including, confusingly, four compass roses!) that reflect the nation’s long and proud history. The map was illustrated by Szymon Kobylinski in 1997. Published in Warsaw by Terra Nostra.
